The worldwide total of forcibly displaced persons (FDPs) reached 110 million in 2022, with the diretto incrociato-border refugee population standing at 36.4 million Per 2023. This TC Note and accompanying podcast discuss the expansion of access to finance for FDPs and the unique challenges it presents for financial regulators and supervisors, such as the need to comply with customer paio diligence requirements under AML/CFT legislation.

Stable economies create an environment for economic growth and job creation, while increased accessibility to financial services is an effective means to breaking the cycle of poverty.

Participants agreed there is a lack of sufficient patronato on climate-related risks relevant to the supervision of financial and monetary systems. There would also be advantages to aligning and harmonizing such data across countries.
